The Rheingau fluted bottle we experience great success. The champion of the assortment right now is:
2003 Hallgartener Jungfer Riesling QbA semi dry
750 ml, back label for diabetics
Silver Medal by the State Wine Awards
11.5% alc., 1.59% residual sugar, 0.64% acidity
Especially the red varietals profited of this vintage. Must weights (sugar content at the time of harvest) of up to 100 degrees Oechsle [wissen Sie die Umsetzung zu Brix, die amerikanische Masseinheit fuer Mostgewicht?] became standart. This is important because the alcohol formed from this high grape sugar forms not only the framwork of red wines, but also carries the aromatic elements.
Our 2003 vintage Pinot Noir red wines are scheduled to be available starting October 2004.
New in our portfolio:
2003 Hallgartener Portugieser and Dornfelder red wine QbA
750 ml, dry
Seal by the German Grocery Association (DLG)
This red wine cuvee of the Portugieser and Dornfelder varietals was developed to a dry wine and harmonizes with German food. It has dark color, a nose of vigorously fruity berry, full-fruity mouth feel and a harmoniously soft finish.
The first three wines of the vintage of the century 2007 have been bottled and are ready for delivery:
2007 Hallgartener Rivaner QbA dry
